Dentist

Today I took both kids to the dentist. Fun, fun. I decided it would be easier now than after the baby comes. When I got there, the kids were going crazy and bouncing off the walls. Who has ever heard of a pediatric dentist with no toys to play with in the waiting room? I guess that's what I should expect with our lovely dental insurance. Then Sage needed a diaper change which I managed to do in an airplane size bathroom. Finally we made it to the actual exam room where they decided to have Sage go first. This was her first time so I knew it would be horrible. She screamed and kicked and I had to practically lay on her to hold her down but luckily it was over in about 2 minutes. Then it was Asher's turn...the look on his face was priceless. I did some quick explaining that Sage was just scared and he needed to show her what a big boy he was. It worked! He did awesome. The dentist did say that he's growing a "large jaw" and that we may need to work on alignment in the future. Rulon and his "Jay Leno jaw" are clearly to blame. : )All in all, it wasn't as bad as it could have been...there's some optimism for you.
