ABC Club

We love the library. Our library has lots of fun kid's programs. Asher did ABC Club last year and both Asher and Sage are doing it this year. It's so fun! Each week they talk about a letter of the alphabet. They each get a stamp on their hands of the upper and lower case letter and they do the Hokey Pokey with their letters (put your little "A" in, put your little "A" out, etc.). They do stories and a puppet show about things that start with the letter. This year they are doing activities and games too. Yesterday they had nine different activities for the letter A. They made apples out of felt, had an ambulance relay, played ring around the apple, etc. All the kids also bring something to show that starts with the letter. It lasts an hour and is almost like preschool in itself. They also make ABC Club t-shirts and have nametags that they decorate. So fun! We also go to Quirkles on Wednesday which is a science club having to do with the letter of the week. This Wednesday they will talk about acids and test different liquids with litmus paper. Very cool! Asher and Sage love it!

How fun. Our city doesn't have a library yet, I wish it did.
