Rulon: Sage, how old will you be on your birthday?
Sage: 2!
Rulon: No, how old will you be on your birthday?
Sage: May 8th!
Rulon: You'll be 3 on your birthday.
Sage: Da-ad! I'm just trying to be 2!

A little background...Asher is very concerned about moving. We've told him we will move in about 4 years but he doesn't understand the concept of years vs. weeks vs. days. Also we just finished planting a little garden area in the backyard and he is especially excited about the giant pumpkins (supposed to end up almost as big as he is).

Asher: Dad, when we move can we take my pumpkins with us?
Rulon: We're not moving for a long time, not until you're nine and by that time we'll have already picked your pumpkins.
Asher: But can we take my pumpkins with us?
Rulon: Asher! We won't need to. The plants will be dead and we'll already have done jack-o-lanterns.
Asher: Dad, I have an idea. How about we go to Lowe's and buy all of their giant pumpkin seeds that they have. Then we won't have to worry!
