I've been going a little overboard making dresses for Sage lately but it's so fun and she is so appreciative. At this rate though, she won't have to wear the same dress twice on Sunday for the rest of the year...almost! : )
The first pattern I found
here. I love it because it's super easy and so versatile. You can make sleeves or ties, or ruffle straps and you can make it short as a shirt. Plus elastic thread is just so fun to work with. So far, I've made Sage five of these and they only take a couple of hours each.

My first attempt

Love this material and the ruffle strap.

I tried sleeves and a petticoat layer.

Yellow and white seersucker version (This was the last picture taken and Sage was over posing for me : ) )

Short shirt version. Sage doesn't like wearing shorts these days so she threw a mini-tantrum this morning and wore her tutu to cover the "ugly" shorts most of the day.
I also found a
really cute site that has pre-made kits for dresses and other items. They are already cut out so you just have to sew everything together. They have the cutest fabric combinations and I love how this turned out.

I think I need more daughters! Just kidding!
